Boatnecks and planes might not be the automatic connection people make, but Lagerfeld’s habit of taking the theatrics out of the clothes and into the surroundings was never going to follow the line absolutely. Always a fan of anything in blue, the square shape of many the dresses was a little unfortunate at times, although the addition and emphasis of pockets to cocktail dresses was a cute twist.
